Student Event Planning

Looking to host an event? Students who are part of a club, society, or recognized student group can host events on and off campus for their group. To have an event, it must be approved by the Event Review Committee to ensure that risks have been identified and the appropriate safety measures are in place. 

• You must be part of a recognized student group and have attended ERC training.
• Submit a form (coming soon) two weeks in advance so that the ERC has time to review and give feedback for any adjustments that need to be made. 
• The ERC meets once per week and reviews all the forms that were submitted prior to the meeting. Late forms cannot be reviewed until the following week.
• Questions about having an event can be directed to the Societies Coordinator for the Students' Union or email to @email. (note that this email is not monitored every day. A response may take up to a week.)

Risks and Liability Waiver - Participatory Sporting Events – this waiver is to be signed by all participants of participatory sporting events. 

Risks and Liability Waiver – Travel  – this waiver is to be signed by all participants of events that involve travel.
